Arthritis is an inflammation of the joints. It can affect one joint or multiple joints. There are 100 different types of arthritis, with different causes and treatment methods. Osteoarthritis is the most common type. Other common types include rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis and gout. The symptoms of arthritis usually develop over time, but they may also appear suddenly.

Many people can be affected – the pain and tenderness can affect the hands, knees, hips and spine. There can also be stiffness and lack of flexibility. Contrary to popular belief it is possible to prevent arthritis or greatly reduce the pain and inflammation it causes…if you eat the right foods and supplement your diet with certain herbs and nutrients.
