Pineapple Sorbet

Pineapple is a great choice to end a meal, as it contains bromelain, an enzyme that helps to breakdown protein to aid digestion. To check that it is ripe, try pulling one of the pineapple leaves from the top – if it comes away easily, the pineapple should be ripe. I keep pots of this sorbet in the freezer for a healthy alternative to ice cream.
