Studies show that eating a low GL diet lowers it. High dose niacin (B3) lowers it, and so do statin drugs, but one in five have side-effects. Even though many myths abound about cholesterol, still, it is not a great idea to have a very high level (eg above 7 or 8). What has worked for you?
