I did the diet on Patrick’s retreat so I had the recipes cooked for me and they were delicious. You couldn’t do the diet without the supplements or you would be hungry. Because I was taking the supplements I didn’t often feel hungry during the five days. I liked the support of a group environment and I wouldn’t have wanted to do the diet on my own for the first time. On the first day I had a bit of a headache but overall it was fine. I lost 6lb which I’ve maintained after. I’ve also noticed a real differenence in my energy levels. I’ve been up really early and get up with my regime of HITT exercises.
I’m now on the Low GL part of the diet and I love it! I just made a dairy-free mackeral pate and it’s delicious. I plan to definitely do three more times.
My tips would be to deconstruct the Hybrid Latte and have the milk and coffee separately. I was at a point in my life where I wanted to reset ready for what is next. I would recommend taking a week out of your life and go and do it on Patrick’s retreat as it is so much more than just the diet. You wouldn’t regret it.
