I love this book. I first read it when it was released and I still use it weekly. It helped me to lose a lot of weight and lose some serious illness by explaining how to eat properly, how to identify destructive eating and most importantly, how to enjoy food without feeling guilty. It is put into simple terms, explaining the medical jargon in a way that even I could understand.
There are a lot of books out there promising all sorts of cures and miracles, but this is the only book that really shows that the author cares about what he does and cares about his readers. The advice also works extremely well!!!
I have learned to eat so many new foods and with the basic gl principles I can "Holfordise" my own favourite recipes.
I am dreading having to replace it now it is getting battered because it contains all my own notes, added recipes and added pieces of advice from other books of Patrick's. Since following the advice in the book I sleep soundly, have a sparkle in my eyes, have good skin and have a bio age ten years younger than I actually am.
I heartily recommend this book if you want to improve your health and vigour, but remember: BE A DOER AND NOT JUST A READER!
