Very informative, difficult to use

I bought this book based on my previous knowledge of Ketone diets and Patrick's explanation of this approach on Virgin One's Ireland AM program. I have been struggling to loose weight for many years now and I was keen to get going. The book goes into a LOT of detail and a lot of case study's, as someone who was already convinced I just wanted to get on with the actual diet. It took me a week or more to read and get to the DIET itself, by which stage I was starting to lose interest. There are some tables relevant to the High Fat phase of the diet in a least a chapter before you get to this, and therefore I find myself having to frequently go back and forth between chapters daily to check values. It says to do this first phase for 2 weeks, and then only gives sample menus for 5 days, much of which I don't eat not being a fan of fish or pork. Plus I am trying to cook for a family. So when I wish to make substitutions I have to read previous chapters. I would suggest that all relevant material to each phase be placed together in an easier to follow format. In order to keep the information I need handy I will need to copy out the relevant sections into a smaller booklet of my own.
Some of the recipes are very nice for example the Hybrid Latte, chicken curry and the chili con carne. Others sound immediately unappealing such as the Chickpea and Egg curry. However nothing ventured nothing gained.
