Some forms of exercise loosen up the body to allow ‘vital energy’, also known as chi or ki in the Far East and prana in India, to flow more freely. This further increases your available energy. The best forms of exercise for this are yoga and tai-chi.
Yoga can harmonise breath, movement and posture to remove physical blocks and tension in the body, and while gentle, can leave you feeling energised.
Yoga is also a good exercise for managing stress if you feel overburdened, as meditation, walking, chilling out, tai chi, general exercises and sex.
My favourites are Astanga yoga, a very active form of yoga, and Psychocalesthenics, a brilliant 15-minute exercise that is like aerobic-yoga (you learn it in a half-day’s worth of training and can do it at home without any equipment). I’d recommend Psychocalesthenics as a daily regime at home plus other exercise classes (good aerobic, step or circuit training), brisk walking, cycle rides or jogs a week.
Also blue light, the scent of lavender and the right ‘chill’ music can help you relaxing.
