Do you dread the hayfever season? Do you suffer with allergic reactions or have other allergy-linked problems such as eczema, asthma, dermatitis, itchy eyes, chronic nasal congestion or catarrh? In a recent GMTV programme Patrick advised Sonia on how to tackle her problem. Hear what Sonia has to say:
“I was given the chance to try out a healthy eating plan to help reduce my hay fever, I was up to try anything as I really did suffer. After appearing on the show initial I spent some time with Patrick going through some changes to diet, Patrick suggested reducing some foods and eliminating others especially Dairy. On the first week I started eating oat cakes, Ryvita etc with Philadelphia this did not help my hay fever very much, once I found out I had an allergy to Dairy and eggs I was amazed I never thought this could be. I cut out all dairy and egg products and replaced them with Soya milk and yogurts, I removed all cheese and eggs, and products which contained these which was more than I thought from the house. After following the regime for a couple of days I noticed a difference, I was sneezing less, feeling less bloated and waking up with a lot more energy. Over the last 4 weeks I have eaten healthy fresh fruit, vegetables and oily fish I have noticed a huge difference in energy levels and have conquered my hayfever it has been very easy to follow and I have not had to miss out on anything, I look at it as an eating plan not a diet and something I will follow for the foreseeable future. Thank you Patrick for all your help and support. Sonia”
