Fibromyalgia is a debilitating and frustrating condition, especially as it frequently goes undiagnosed, not only by doctors, but also by sufferers who may feel as though they are simply run down or fighting off a bug. The most frequently occurring fibromyalgia symptom is chronic musculo-skeletal pain, but as any person with fibromyalgia will tell you, the pain is just the tip of the iceberg. Further symptoms of fibromyalgia include chronic, disabling fatigue; many very tender spots on the neck, shoulders, back and hips; constant aches; general stiffness; sleep disturbances; depression; allergic rhinitis – and sometimes even cardiovascular problems. As such, it is similar in a number of ways to chronic fatigue syndrome, but with the addition of muscular pain.
The incidence of fibromyalgia is increasing, but clear recognition of fibromyalgia symptoms and the cause of fibromyalgia makes effective fibromyalgia remedies possible.
